Butyl Tapes
Butyl tapes are available as a solid butyl rubber pressure sensitive tape supplied in roll form in a variety of widths and thicknesses. Tapes are also available with a highly compressible PVC foam core encapsulated with high tack butyl adhesive/sealant and with butyl rubber adhesive on an aluminum foil backing. Butyl tapes offer instant water-tight bonds for optimum sealing. These products offer conformability to irregular surfaces and secure protection when used as a sealant against moisture and dust in appliance, automotive, truck/trailer/RV, construction and HVAC applications. PVC foam/butyl product meets Ford ESB-M3G143-A2. Aluminum foil/butyl products meet UL 723, UL 181B-FX.
Duct Tapes
General purpose and high performance duct tapes with polyethylene coated cloth and aluminum foil backings provide high tack and moisture resistance for sealing duct work including fiberglass and rigid preformed aluminum foil-faced duct systems. Available in silver, black and various colors with rubber, acrylic and butyl rubber adhesives in 3.6 – 45 mil (.09 - .89 mm) thickness. Cloth-backed tapes meet UL 723. Aluminum foil-backed tapes meet UL 181 A-P, UL 181A/B and UL 723.
Film Tapes
Double-sided polyester films in .5 and 1 mil gauges are coated with 1.5 – 2 mils high tack, high shear acrylic adhesive for permanent mounting applications.
Foil Tapes
Aluminum foil tapes with acrylic, rubber and butyl rubber adhesives serve as all-weather duct tapes for sealing duct work including fiberglass and rigid preformed aluminum foil-faced duct systems. Available in 3.6 – 45 mil (.09 - .89 mm) thickness. Tapes meet UL 181 A-P, UL 181A/B, UL 181B-FX and UL723. Aluminum/PVC foam thermal insulation tape provides vibration and sound dampening and prevents condensation build-up on bonding substrates in HVAC applications. Available in gray in .125” - .250” (3.2 mm – 6.4 mm) thickness.
Teflon® Tapes
Teflon® tapes are manufactured from high quality Teflon®-coated glass fabric and skived Teflon® film, offering outstanding electrical, release and low friction properties and resistance to chemicals and temperature extremes for high performance in a variety of industrial products and processes. These tapes are available with and without silicone pressure sensitive adhesive for continuous temperature resistance to +500° F (260º C) and are available in thicknesses of 5, 6, or 10 mil in any required width up to 36”. Roll lengths are 18 or 36 yards.
Very High Bond Tapes
Structural grade solid acrylic tape systems and Very High Bond Foam Tapes are designed to provide high bond strength on a variety of substrates. These materials are supplied single and double sided and are formulated to maintain adhesion in a wide range of temperature and weather conditions. Used to replace mechanical fasteners in appliance, automotive, sign, graphics, skin to frame assembly, window muntin bar attachment and other manufacturing applications. These tapes provide ease of use, waterproof bonds, sound and vibration dampening and the ability to withstand thermal movement.
Available in clear, gray, translucent and black with a thickness range of .010” - .60” (.254 – 15.24 mm). Double sided structural grade acrylic tape meets GM specification GM3802M TYPE 14, Chrysler specification MS-CH59-C and Ford specification WSB-M3G138-B.
