For reliability in the assembly of weather-resistant windows, Stik-II Products offers high performance foam tapes, specialty tapes, and sealants to assure quality and efficiency.
Our PermaSTIK™ glazing and SDL Mounting Tapes provide durability for window glazing and mounting wood, vinyl and painted aluminum muntin bars to glass fascia. These foam tapes also offer:
- Excellent adhesion to low surface energy substrates
- Superior long term aging characteristics
- Resistance to temperature extremes
- Differential adhesive coating that provides UV resistance on the acrylic adhesive (glass) side and high initial tack on the rubber adhesive (sash) side
- Compliance with AAMA specification #810.1-92 for cellular glazing tapes, type I
At Stik-II Products, we continually strive to become the single source for all your pressure sensitive tape and sealing needs. Please contact us if you need a custom product or have a special converting requirement.
WINDOW FABRICATION PRODUCTS:
PermaSTIK™ Glazing Tapes – Closed cell polyethylene foam coated with acrylic, rubber and differential coated adhesive systems for sealing glass in wood, vinyl and aluminum window framing systems. The “quick stick” adhesive and “easy release” polyethylene film liner make Stik-II’s PermaSTIK™ glazing tapes easy to use, improving operator efficiency for window fabricators.
PermaSTIK™ SDL Mounting Tape - Special polyolefin alloy foam that’s crosslinked with a unique process for improved toughness and adhesive anchorage is engineered for permanent mounting of interior and exterior muntin bars. Tape shadows well for clean sight line in SDL (Simulated Divided Lite) mounting. High performance acrylic adhesive bonds window grilles constructed of wood, metal, vinyl and other plastics and composite materials to glass. Available in gray, white and black in 1/16” and 1/32” thickness.
PVC Foam Tapes – Available in low, medium and high density for gap filling and sealing out air, dust and UV light. Tapes offer flexibility, strength and wear resistance.
Butyl Tapes – Extruded, preformed architectural tapes used for weather seals between surfaces subjected to normal expansion, contraction and wind-loading forces. Recommended as a primary exterior seal when glazing glass into a window sash and for sealing metal-to-metal joints, wood to glass and metal to plastic. Tapes are also available with a highly compressible PVC foam core encapsulated with high tack butyl adhesive/sealant. Meets AAMA standards 804.3, 806.3 and 807.3.
Teflon®Tapes – Teflon®-coated glass fabric and film tapes have low surface energies to release excess vinyl during the window frame welding process. Available in 5, 6 and 10 mil thickness with and without adhesive for coating welders.
Very High Bond Tapes – High strength pressure sensitive tapes offer moisture resistance, adhesion in a broad temperature range, flexibility and ease of use in muntin bar attachment applications.
Sealants - Polyurethane and silicone sealants provide permanent seals against moisture, dust and air. For shop fabrication of windows and doors, sealing window and skylight framing, as a weather seal for structural glazing and in non-structural glazing applications including cap, toe and heal beads and glass to joint glazing.
